ODYBUILDERS who possess continual determination Bo are constantly improving, getting more hulk in certain body parts and more general power in their coordinating muscles. And such is what Bert Elliott has done and con sequently becomes one of the main muscular attractions for 1956. His photographs are not new to readers of this- magazine, but his whole physique will seem different from previous pictures because of the added musculature from his determined training.
Bert is a most consistant worker. He trains with strict regularity, three times weekly, and performs all sorts of exercises as be believes in vanation of movement rather than remaining too long on a certain regime. Fortunately he has access to one of California's finest gymnasiums which is equipt with both modern apparatus and new inventions.

Some of these movements performed upon different apparatus from the usual, will prove interesting to the world as these have been invented to furnish more direct play upon the muscles which the bodybuilder is desirous of improving. Or course. Ben Elliott also does the usual and standard work such as the bench press, back of neck stated presses and abdominal sit-ups upon an incline board, yet even these standard exerches are slightly different in arrangement due to trivial attachments to the paraphernalia stilized
Perhaps a brief review of Bert Elliott's career might interest you. He is 24 years of age and weighs 175 pounds today at a height of live feet nine inches. He has been training for four years with weights, and at the start of his initiation into the barbell habit, he weighed but 143 pounds. And as his height has not grown since he was 20 years of age
