DAVE WELLS
Our back coverman, fourth DOUBLE EXPOSURE, and sixth Marine in this issue is DAVE WELLS. The A.M.G. photographer was out to dinner one evening in downtown Holly- wood when he spotted this 20-year-old. One look at the face and he knew he wanted to photograph Dave, Arrangements were made and photos were taken. Then BOBCO met the young man and his shutter finger started twitching. The results of BOBCO’s efforts with this Michiganer are seen on 69 and 70.
Dave is quite a cycle enthusiast. He owns his own bike (not the one in the photos); is quite a mechanic; and hopes to own a cycle shop someday. With this in mind, A.M.G. photographed him first in his natural setting. Then, with a little whimsy or perhaps as a thoughtful comment for the careless-Dave ended up in a hospital bed. ‘Nuff said.
