Gino Garibaldi was a 1940s-50s wrestler who began with his brothers Chick, Joe, Tony and Ralph in the late 1930s.

Gino got his son Leo Garibaldi into wrestling in youth and he was already out-wrestling his father by 1948. He became a professional wrestler in 1950 and wrestled all through the 50s and 60s.

Gino’s brother Charles “Chick” Garibaldi held the world lightweight title in 1948, surrendered it to Leo in 1951, and wrestled many more years in Vince McMahon sr.’s Capitol wrestling corporation (a predecessor to the modern WWE). He was killed in a wrestling match in 1961 when rising star Bruno Sammartino broke his neck while body slamming him.
