RONNIE LOGAN, seventeen year old weight enthusiast, who stands 5' 8" tall, weighs 160 lbs., has a 42" chest which expands to 45", a 28" waist, and 14" biceps. Started training on advice from his doctor as he was underweight. His hobbies are horse-back riding, football, and swimming He is also teaching his two younger brothers to lift weights.
Through one of these friends, he met the physique photographer PLATO. PLATO immediately saw that Ronnie had a hand- some, rather unusual face which would photograph well. But he was astounded when Ronnie took off his shirt and showed him his chest. For Ronnie's face is quite youthful and boy- ish and the photographer did not expect this young fellow to have such a strong, fully ma- tured body. It turned out that Ronnie has a natural posing ability and PLATO was quite pleased with the resulting pictures as were the magazine editors who quick- ly placed shots of him in their next issues. Ronnie now is on his way to being a top physique model. There also has been a great demand for him to model clothes. He enjoys doing this very much, for he likes going on location and dressing in well- made suits and sport-coats. Now when he isn't modeling, he is training two of his broth- ers, Daniel and Donald, to lift weights (Ronnie comes from a large German-Irish family-he has seven brothers and two sis- ters!). They're making great progress and eventually the three of them might make a very unusual modeling team. Ronnie has also been studying photography and thinks that one day he might become a physique photographer himself. He now weighs 160 lbs., and is 5'8" tall. His chest when normal is 424"; when expanded it's 454". His waist is 28" and his arms are 15¼". He is a very busy, happy boy with a lot to look forward to. His story shows that through adversity and misfortune can some- times come great good. If Ronnie had not become ill when he was fifteen, he might not be the strong confident fellow he is today. -11-

Loved This... Hated That! The Young Physique and Muscleboy. Truly they are works of art which I shall cherish. The glossiness of the hard cover is one of the very great at- tractions which all my friends admire. One thing, however, puzzles me: why do my copies arrive about five days later than the paperback editions appear on the newsstands? Ivor H. However, both paperback and bound editions will continue to be a few days apart because-while they are printed at the same time, the binding takes just JIM STRYKER, now a busy fashion model and plant executive. these few days to complete. Also, there is an added day involved in packing each copy into its special mint condition mail- ing device. We hope that this slight delay will not dampen your obvious enthusiasm. HE HATES! One of the very few things that annoy me about TYP and Muscleboy is that you rarely give the vital statistics of the models. I'd like to know what each model weighs his exact height stripped how big his chest is what his arms measure... his waist size... hips size... thigh mea- surement and the dimensions of his calves. I'd also like to know his exact diet... all his hobbies... where he attends school... his home address and telephone number and other things of a similar nature. You're just not be- ing fair with your readers. P. G. Evans Montreal, Canada That's a pretty tall order, Mr. Evans, Sometimes we feel just lucky to get the model's photographs, let alone his dossier. We do agree that it is often more interest- ing to learn what makes the model tick; especially we'd like to know the model's measurements. But as for whether he takes his Wheaties straight or laced with bran died milk well, that's asking a bit too much. Rarely does the photographer (except Bruce) quote the model's measure ments so we'll pass along Mr. E' otherwise sound suggestion to them and maybe we will get some results.
